southern california are battling a fast moving wildfire that forced up to 6,000 memorial day campers to evacuate. the fire broke out yesterday afternoon in the los padres national forest. about 50 homes are threatened, many of them vacation rentals. so far just one building has actually been damaged. it was a u.s. forest service building. the fire was put out so only a certain portion of the building was destroyed. we had two vehicles that were burned. one was a u.s. forest service whiteface mountain. the weather was so bad that part of the highway had to be closed. and president obama takes a post-memorial day tour of the jersey shore today. he ll get a firsthand look at recovery efforts from superstorm sandy. new jersey suffered an estimated $38 billion in storm damage. sandy hit seven months ago and the road back has not been easy. erica ferrara look at one hard hit community off long island s south shore. reporter: the crowds at this year s memorial day parade weren
