We begin with breaking news of another American School shooting this time an Elementary School in anderson county, south carolina. Where panicked parents rushed this afternoon learning that a teacher and two children had been wounded. One student airlifted to the hospital. Not far from the school, police have also found the body of an adult, the father of a teenager who tonight is in police custody, in connection with all of this. Nbcs Gabe Gutierrez is there and has late details. The chaos erupted just before 2 00, reports of an active shooter in south carolina. A heavily armed s. W. A. T. 35th and 36th homicides of the year have occurred. one of them was gang related according to police. this morning, friends set up a memorial for the man who was murdered just after midnight. he had been celebrating another friend s birthday outside of a house in east san jose when men with blue rags over their faces shot and killed him. he was in his 30s, married with a child. a friend tells us he doesn t understand why he would be targeted considering he wasn t in a gang himself. we were just hanging out. no gangbangers involved. there was nobody that gang bangs here. no colors whatsoever. we re just outside bbqing and all you hear is about three to four guys that were outside cooking, running for the house, and all you hear is shots fired, shots fired. the guy that had the shot runs into the house, dropped to the floor. another man was murdered in downtown san jose around 8:30 last night. police responded to a fight on second street near san fernando. they found the vic
counselor last year about what she felt was inappropriate behavior on the part of the teacher toward girls. she saw the way he acted with other students. he was way too flirty which made her uncomfortable. she didn t respond to that, so he didn t like her a lot. the other girls, he would text them, give them rides. he was way too friendly. her daughter s complaints were pushed under the rug. now, he faces criminal charges and parents are anxious by waiting to learn if the accusations are founded. now, is he out on bail tonight, the sheriff s department tells us he posted a $100,000 bail sometime between last night and this afternoon. again, that meeting in the meantime, is getting ready to start. i can tell you we ve seen a lot of parents filing in. a lot of parents with some very serious concerns and questions. the teacher, meanwhile will be arraigned in court tomorrow afternoon. reporting live in albany, jodi hernandez nbc bay area news. our chopper above the scene
