HYDERABAD: Several human rights bodies, non-governmental organisations working for the rights of neglected segments of society, police, political parties and trade unions organised functions and rallies in many Sindh towns to mark the International Human Rights Day on Thursday.
In Hyderabad, police observed the HR day at the department’s auditorium where AIGP Dr Jameel Ahmed highlighted the role of police in protection of human rights, particularly the rights of vulnerable segments of society including children, women, members of minorities, transgenders and others.
He said that police stations, women and children protection centres and facilitation centres had been set up and further strengthened to serve people.
