GEORGE COUNTY, Miss. (WLOX) - A pedestrian has died after being hit by a vehicle in George County Tuesday evening.
Authorities received a call around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday involving an accident that happened near the 100 block of River Road, involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. When officials arrived on scene, the victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
The victim was identified as 28-year-old Marvette Anderson Jr. of Lucedale. GCSO Investigators and troopers identified and questioned the driver of the vehicle, who had remained on scene, but no charges are expected at this time.
