JAKARTA, Dec. 17 (Xinhua) Indonesia s North Sumatra provincial police have arrested 11 smugglers with 16 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine hidden in their shoes, a police officer said on Thursday.
The North Sumatra police s chief Inspector General Martuani Sormin said the 11 suspects from the Aceh-Medan-Dumai network (on Indonesia s main island of Sumatra) were identified as MR, SF, MS, AR, AJ, ZI, SM, SA, DL, LJ, and HN.
Sormin explained that the disclosure of the network began when the police last Sunday arrested MR in Pantai Cermin sub district, Serdang Bedagai district, North Sumatra, for carrying 2 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine.
