German specialists to train Kyrgyz laboratory workers on detection of COVID-19 variants AKIPRESS.COM - The joint medical mission of Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Martsinovsky Institute of Medical Parasitology and Tropical Medicine and German Society for International Cooperation arrived in Bishkek on May 10 with German financial support. One of the main areas of work of the mission is to provide training on detection of variants of Covid-19 in laboratories in Kyrgyzstan, the Ministry of Health and Social Development reported. The mission cooperates with the National Reference Laboratiry, which will receive support in sequencing and analysis of coronavirus. Workers of state laboratories in Bishkek and Osh will receive training on diagnostics and biosecurity.
