Apr 23, 2021 Wilma Genevieve Pitzer, passed away Friday, April 9, 2021 at the Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility. Born in Gerrardstown, WV, April 17, 1926, she was the daughter of Howard and Daisy McCormick Pitzer. She lived her entire life on the family property with her parents and aunts who operated McCormick’s Store, which was established by her grandfather, Richard McCormick. Since January 2018, she had remained in her home under the excellent care of Home Helpers Home Care of Martinsburg. Employed as a bank teller at Merchants and Farmers Bank in Martinsburg, she retired from the branch in Inwood after a long career. She was a trusted and meticulous treasurer who served in that capacity for the Gerrardstown Presbyterian Church and for the Gerrardstown Presbyterian Cemetery for many years, and for the organizations in which she was a member. In addition to serving as treasurer, she was the first woman elected as a Ruling Elder at the Gerrardstown Presbyterian Churc
