The NXT Women s Championship will be on the line next week.
WWE has announced that NXT Women s Champion Raquel Gonzalez will defend her title against Xia Li on NXT next Tuesday. The match was set up when Li confronted Gonzalez on tonight s episode.
Gonzalez s tag team partner Dakota Kai defeated Ember Moon on NXT tonight. After the match, Li came out to the ring and confronted Gonzalez. Li wanted an NXT Women s Championship match, and Gonzalez accepted Li s challenge.
Kai had thought Li was coming out to go face-to-face with her, but Li walked past her and challenged Gonzalez.
Gonzalez won the NXT Women s Championship by defeating Io Shirai at TakeOver: Stand & Deliver this April. She s since had title defenses against Mercedes Martinez and Moon.

Closing the broadcast during tonight s AEW Dynamite on TNT was a video package that featured all the highlights from AEW s time at Daily s Place in Jacksonville Florida.
The arena became the home of AEW television and pay-per-view during the COVID-19 pandemic over the last 15 months, but as of next week the show will hit the road again.
AEW will of course be back but for now they bid goodbye.

NXT viewership has once again taken a dip in numbers.
John Ourand of the Sports Business Journal reports the June 29 episode of NXT drew 636,000 viewers, down on last week s 665,000 viewers.
The show drew 695,000 viewers two weeks ago which saw the return of Samoa Joe.
WWE will be looking to increase numbers for next week s Great American Bash special on USA Network.

Darby Allin and Ethan Page were set for a Coffin Match at the upcoming AEW Road Rager show. However, Page delayed the match during this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite.
Allin attacked Page after Sting wheeled the former AEW TNT Champion into the arena in a coffin. Sting then got into a fight with Scorpio Sky with Allin and Page also fighting each other.
Allin was made by this assault and said he knew Darby knew that he couldn’t beat so the planned Coffin match for next week not happen.
