Hennepin County EMS Paramedics To Change Their Uniforms

Fargo, ND, USA / Y94 Mar 17, 2021 7:24 AM MINNEAPOLIS – It’s not just about style, it might be about safety. Hennepin County E-M-S is planning to change its trademark brown uniforms for blue ones. Some emergency responders said the brown ones made them look too much like Hennepin County Sheriff’s deputies and they didn’t always feel safe being seen as law enforcement officers at some emergency scenes. Hennepin E-M-S senior director Martin Scheerer says he heard from employees who felt they were in danger wearing the brown uniforms because they looked too much like law enforcement. The blue uniforms will be rolled out later this spring.
