boulevard near the new hampshire exit. can you see that that car, the car was engulfed in flames and the fire has now been put out. i m tony perkins in for steve chenevey. along with allison seymour. and you can see this has led to a massive backup on the beltway. not many details known about the car on fire. julie wright is with metro traffic and can tell us more. this is the car fire west of new hampshire avenue but before you reach new hampshire avenue. that s traffic to the top left merging on. and typically this stretch of the beltway is slow from college park into silver spring. and because we ve had the beltway shut down now for the last ten minutes or so, we re deing the delays build out of greenbelt. so west of the bw parkway, past route 1 and i-95 and toward this accident scene, or i should say car fire, traffic is jammed wall to wall at this point. if you know somebody that travels in this direction, give them the heads up. it is the top side of the beltway i
