On Tuesday, Martin Police worked with the Floyd County District 2 Constable in regards to a call of an armed man in the Minnie Ball Park area. While on the call, Officers noticed another vehicle with an outstanding warrant. Officers attempted to pull the vehicle over but the driver increased speed in attempt to flee. The chase stretched west bound on KY 122 and ended on Hunter Branch road in Printer Kentucky. Both the driver and passenger have been taken into custody and are currently lodged in the Floyd County Detention Center.

Suspect identified, charged in shooting death of Martin woman
A suspect has been identified and charged in Tuesday s shooting death of 41-year-old Alisha Gadlen of Martin, according to Martin Police Chief Don Teal.
Ashley Brown, 29, of Union City, was arrested and charged with second degree murder following a shooting at 200 North Lindell St. in Martin, around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Martin Police Officers were called to the scene after a “physical altercation” between three women “escalated” to multiple shots being fired in the parking lot of the address.
During the incident, Gadlen was shot with a handgun. She was immediately transported by EMS from the scene, but later succumbed to her injuries.
