Cameroon â Indomitable Lions ready to cheer their fans
Cameroon are the hosts of the 6th edition of the Total African Nations Championship (CHAN). The country of football legends and records comes to the competition with the obligation, not only to defend these legends and records which have given the country a great football profile, but also to win the title on home soil. Without having to play the qualifiers as host, Cameroon looks forward to join the list of Champions on home soil

With an impressive first-time performance during the tournament s second edition in Sudan 2011, the Indomitable Lions are coming for their fourth participation. After winning all three group games, scoring five goals and conceding none in the group stage, no one expected that the team would end their campaign at the quarter finals, losing 7-8 to Angola on penalties.

No one is happy with this situation. We re just trying to limit the damage because right now we re not where we want to be.
The absence of a Cameroonian league and a mass exodus of players has left the veteran tactician – who led the country to a quarter-final finish at Rwanda 2016 - with the option of calling up clubless but experienced players like 34-year-old Patrick Mevoungou plus Yannick N Djeng and Franck Ondoa Edima who both compete for fifth-tier clubs.

At the moment the team is in Douala where they are fine-tuning their skills. The players and the coach are working out winning strategies in order to avoid any errors during the competition. Things seem to be going on well with the Intermediate Lions of Cameroon. The ninth training session of the team was marked by friendly matches with some clubs in the national championship. Throughout the training session at the
