Its called the kincade fire because it started a long kincade road near the geysers geothermal field with 60 Miles Per Hour wind. You are taking a look at some of the video of howse peak how big this fire is. Pilots said the wind was too rough but they do plan to get back in the air as soon as the sun comes up. We are getting aircraft ready in anticipation of when the wind does die down we can get aircraft and helicopter in there as quickly as possible. The area under evacuation includes hundreds of homes and the river rock casino. Evacuation warnings have been issued for parts of healdsburg and geysers bill. Flames are expected to approach vineyards on the eastern edge of Alexander Valley. Evacuation centers are open at Windsor High School and the Healdsburg Community center. Authorities say the evacuation zone is not heavily populated but there are homes and some hunting cabins scattered throughout the area. The wind is changing and getting into the red flag warning northeast flow and it will increase that fire behavior to levels that we saw when this fire initially began. We want to show you a map of Sonoma County and the areas affected by the kincade fire. Take a look at the red portion, thats where the fire is actively burning in the purple area shows where there are mandatory Evacuation Orders, including healdsburg and windsor. The blue zone indicates places like guerneville, sevastopol, bodega bay and occidental, where people are told to return home. They have been told there is still an evacuation warning in effect and they should remain ready to evacuate again very quickly, if necessary.
