It s not a head-based decision, Payne says of that Brightwell moment.
As youâll recall, Ainsley Whitly (Halston Sage) followed in her father Martinâs (Michael Sheen) footsteps and killed the villainous Endicott at the end of Season 1. Malcolm then covered up his sisterâs crime and disposed of the body (parts). Europol agent Simon Hoxley (Cumming) came to town to investigate and subsequently deduced that the same person killing off the rest of Endicottâs courier network took his life. It sounds like that will now be all there is to it.
âTheyâre all bonded by blood and in the covering up of the murder at this point because they all know about it,â Payne says of the Whitlys. âTheyâve all got blood on their hands, which they did before, but in a very different way and now itâs much more direct that Martinâs not the only person to have killed someone. Theyâre all wrestling with that the whole time. Itâs sad really becaus

Prodigal Son would be able to keep Martin (
Michael Sheen) locked up before he would find a way to spring himself. And sorry, Vivian (
Catherine Zeta-Jones), but there was no way Martin was picking you over his fam. But Martin escaped with some distraction murderers that are going to be keeping Malcolm (Payne), Gil (
Lou Diamond Phillips), and the police racing against the clock. But for Malcolm, The Surgeon s escape impacts him on both a personal and professional level- and speaking of personal, viewers also have to wonder what the fallout will be from Jessica s (

is fun is everything surrounding the case involving Simon Hoxley, whoâs there investigating a potential connection to Endicottâs murder. He throws a couple of pointed looks Malcolmâs way (the courier chain moves âdrugs, guns, and perhaps, a particularly gruesome dead body,â Hoxley says). Dani (Aurora Perrineau) and JT (Frank Harts) wonder if Malcolm needs his own moniker with Simon âThe Mind Sleuthâ Hoxley around. Some of their suggestions: âBrain Hacker,â âProfessor Profile,â and âCaptain Crimefighter.â
Malcolm tries to distract from his odd behavior by focusing on the caseâ¦and asking if a dead body is a victim. âThe dead man? Yes. Good catch,â Hoxley says.
