A Taranaki pizzeria is teaching the next generation how to make authentic Neapolitan pizza. A few years ago, Martin Barlock, owner of Black Sand Pizzeria and Bistro, in Oakura, took a pizza-making lesson for his child s daycare class, and it has continued with other local kindies and playcentres.

Black Sand Pizzeria and Bistro taught kids from Oakura Play Centre how to make traditional pizza. This week, Oakura Playcentre came along to learn how to make real pizza, as Black Sand is one of three places in the country accredited as a member of the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana, or the Association of Real Neapolitan Pizza.
