(FX, 10 p.m., third-season finale): “I don’t know what, but it’s coming soon.”
Directed by showrunner Elgin James (and co-written by James and Debra Moore Muñoz), this finale ominously titled “Chapter The Last, Nothing More To Write” marks an end to a season decidedly stronger than the two preceding seasons. The good news (and based on that preview, it might be the
only good news) is that
Mayans has already been renewed for a fourth season, so while that title might sound awfully final, it’s not the
end end. At least, not for everyone. We’d tell you to buckle up, but, uh, motorcycles.

PORTSMOUTH Cure restaurant chef and owner Julie Cutting-Kelly was ready to go home after being eliminated on her episode of Chopped: Martha Rules, which aired on April 20, but right after filming that episode in September, she received an unexpected call from the producers.
“I went back to my room and I was all excited to go home. I was packing up, ready to see my baby and the producer called and said, ‘Hang around.’ And I said, ‘What do you mean hang around?’ The next day I woke up kind of slow, went for a run and then that night they called me and said ‘Hang around. We’re going to bring you back.’ So I knew fairly soon after I got cut the first time that I was going to be brought back.”
Chopped
The current season of
Chopped hosted by Martha Stewart and shot at a resort in Kennebunkport, Maine features several local chefs, including Not Your Average Joe’s executive chef Kristen Harlach and 50Kitchen chef and owner Anthony Caldwell. Joining them is Saba Wahid, a food television personality, cooking teacher, and recipe developer who was born and raised in Framingham, Massachusetts. Unlike the other competitors, Wahid never had any expectations of appearing on this season of the
Food Network’s popular cooking competition because she didn’t apply.
“They contacted me through Instagram,” says Wahid. “That’s how the casting process started.”
