The 2024 Golden Pen of Freedom, the annual press freedom award of the World Association of News Publishers (WAN-IFRA), has been awarded to Nicaraguan journalist Carlos Fernando Chamorro, editor-in-chief of Confidencial, currently in exile in Costa Rica.
