Dr. Mcginnis is a renowned scholar and cultural cultural historian of the relationship between art and politics in the colonial and antebellum south particularly the politics of slavery. Shes an awardwinning author coauthor and editor of six books including two books on this topic slaves waiting for sale abolitionist art and the american slave trade and educated in tyranny slavery at Thomas Jeffersons university.
