A new photo project by Ukrainian photographer Marta Syrko captures stunning images of soldiers and civilians wounded during Russia's war on the country. In the project's first 2 1/2 months, Syrko has photographed seven Ukrainians who were seriously injured during the war. As casualities continue to grow, Syrko says the project focuses on body diversity and body positivity for those who have been maimed during fighting.
On 7 November, Dutch National Opera will present the European premiere of Blue, Jeanine Tesori's composition which in 2020 the Music Critics Association of North America's 2020 awarded as 'Best New Opera'.

When Mara Syrko talking about this series of photos “It was shooting for a famous dancer in my country, and we tried to show her in a different way. I tried to show my model as a hero of some fairytale movie, water is like a “mirror” that took your soul and the rebirth process is making. I’m also trying to make photos without photoshop painting and some effects, I like simplicity in clothes and make up, just want to show everything with light to make pictures more like cinema.”
