Walmart wants to build two more health clinics in Jacksonville in addition to the first two planned in West Jacksonville and another in Middleburg.
The city is reviewing permit applications submitted Feb. 15 for the retailer to add the clinics to its Supercenters at 11900 Atlantic Blvd. and 4250 Philips Highway.
Each carries an estimated construction cost of $350,000 for the 6,510-square-foot additions. Those costs are subject to change as contractors bid on the projects.
In October, Walmart filed building plans with the city for permits to build its first two Jacksonville health clinics at a basic construction cost of $900,000 each. Those clinics are expansions of Walmart Supercenters at 7075 Collins Road and 6830 Normandy Blvd. in West Jacksonville.
