Brush fire reported in Dulzura

EAST COUNTY  A fire in Dulzura has spread to 70 acres as of 9:15 p.m. and an evacuation order has been called for all of Bee Canyon Road. An evacuation warning also has been called for all of Little Tecate Road, and a temporary evacuation point has been set up at Steel Canyon High School, 12440 Campo Road in Spring Valley. The fire broke out around 6 p.m. on Marron Valley Road south of the South Bay Rod & Gun Club off state Route 94 and has been spreading east. Fire crews are battling the blaze on the ground and with air tanker drops from above. No loss of structures have been reported.

CAL FIRE battles brush Marron Fire in Dulzura CAL FIRE San Diego and last updated 2021-07-11 10:27:21-04 SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — CAL FIRE crews were battling a 52-acre blaze in the Dulzura area late Saturday. The fire was reported just before 6:30 p.m. along Marron Valley Road, south of South Bay Rod & Gun Club in Dulzura. The fire ignited with a moderate rate of spread in medium to heavy fuels, CAL FIRE reported. As of 10:20 p.m., CAL FIRE said the fire s spread had been stopped. The agency said Sunday morning that the blaze scorched 52 acres and is now 40 percent contained. Evacuation orders for Bee Canyon Rd. and evacuation warnings for Little Tecate Rd. were also lifted.

Border Patrol Arrests a Convicted Murderer in California

  Share Source: AP Photo/Eric Gay Border Patrol agents working in the San Diego Sector recently arrested a criminal illegal alien who was previously deported after being convicted for second degree murder.  On April 2 at approximately 5 p.m., a citizen called USBP reporting two suspicious men near Marron Valley Road in Dulzura, Calif.  Arriving to the reported address, an agent located the two men, who had been walking in harsh terrain for several days.  As the agent approached, the men asked for water and explained they became lost after crossing the border.  The agent provided water and determined both men had entered the U.S. illegally.  The two men were arrested and transported to a nearby Border Patrol station for processing, U.S. Customs and Border Protection released about the situation. At the station, a records check revealed that one of the men, a 45-year-old Mexican national, had been convicted of second-degree murder in California in 2003.  At that time, he
