Several items were discussed earlier this week during the Belfield City Council monthly meeting which included a sewage project, city employee wages and alcohol sales at the Superpumper gas station.
During its monthly meeting, the Belfield City Council considered several proposed changes to its zoning laws including a special downtown commercial district, sidewalk requirements, vehicle storage and building code.
Two of Belfield's sewage lift stations were built in the 1950s and 60s, and one is now in dire need of $1 million worth of renovations. The city argued that continuing to put it off could result in basements full of raw sewage.
