Am sally bundock. We start in china, where the Chinese Vice Premier he lifeng and the European Commissioner for trade Valdis Dombrovskis are meeting in beijing today. The eu and chinas economic and trade ties will be the focus of discussions. The meeting comes at a time of growing tensions between the two superpowers. Earlier this month, the European Commission announced there would be an anti subsidy investigation over chinas car prices. China is accused of keeping car prices artificially low by huge State Subsidies a move that china says is evidence of protectionism by the eu.
