Romeoville police and Will County deputies had been working to get the man to surrender for nearly 12 hours. (Village of Romeoville)
ROMEOVILLE, IL Romeoville Police were working with motel staff to safely relocate guests during a nearly 12-hour standoff after receiving reports of a man yelling threats and waving a gun out the window of the Super 8 Motel in the 1300 block of Marquette Drive.
Police said officers were called to the motel around 11 p.m. Thursday. Officers, along with Will County sheriff s deputies, were still at the scene Friday morning, police said around 10 a.m.
