NEGAUNEE TOWNSHIP, MI – The final whistle blew way too early for Mike Adams, 67, on March 7, 2021, in Lakeland, FL.
Mike was born February 16, 1954, in Wiltshire, England, to Janet and Herbert Adams. Mike’s life was deeply influenced by his “Gwinn godfathers”. Mike graduated from Gwinn High School, Class of 1972, where he was known as ‘Big Boy’. Following school, he joined the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1975. Mike later received his Associate’s Degree from NMU and in 1988 married Dawn Moyle.
Mike retired from CCI, was a member of the Forsyth Township fire department for 30 years, and was the “Water Guy” for Negaunee Township. He enjoyed refereeing high school football and basketball for many years. Most recently, Mike was “employed” by the Detroit Tigers Spring Training organization in Lakeland, and was the beloved roadie of the Yam Haus band.
