BREMERTON A Bremerton filmmaker will debut his new documentary at one of the biggest film festivals in the country next month.
Marq Evans’ new film “CLAYDREAM,” which centers on the life of Oscar and Emmy-winning clay animator Will Vinton, will premiere June 13 at the Tribeca Film Festival as part of the “Tribeca at Home” online block.
“It was super exciting, this was the dream that we had for the film,” Evans said.
“CLAYDREAM” is Evans’s second documentary he also directed and produced “The Glamour and the Squalor,” a film about legendary Seattle DJ Marco Collins, which was released in 2015. As he was finishing up work on “The Glamour and the Squalor,” Evans read an article about Vinton’s life and the challenges his animation company faced in the early 2000s.
