PRELIMINARY:
A preliminary investigation indicates the following occurred: Unit 1 and 2 were traveling eastbound on IL Highway 33, west of 1700th Avenue. Unit 1 passed Unit 2 and re-entered the eastbound lane of traffic too soon. Unit 1 struck Unit 2, causing both vehicles to leave the roadway to the right. Both units struck a culvert in a ditch and went across an access road. Unit 1 came to rest upright in the south ditch. Unit 2 went back across the highway before leaving the road to the north. Unit 2 came to rest in a field on the north side of the highway.
