An orange flow from the fire is visible from the shearer s quarters at Muzzle station at 4am on Thursday morning, where principal rural fire officer Chris Hayles tries to get some shut-eye with two helicopter pilots.
“It’s looking pretty good at this stage. There were no crews onsite [on Thursday night], by 5pm all the helicopters were sent home.”
