Tigers Finish 3-0 in Doubles, Wrap Up Second Day of Gator Fall Invite

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Clemson Tigers went undefeated in doubles as three pairings earned wins against their respective opponents. Trey Stinchcomb, Spencer Whitaker and Max Smith all recorded singles victories as the Tigers completed the second day of the Gator Fall Invite.  “We have some important concepts on productive and successful habits our guys are trying to learn and become more aware of. Today was another great day of competition that tested our guys on these concepts. Great to see our guys making continuous strides in doubles and in singles, we have some room to grow,” Head Coach Brandon Wagner said. “Tomorrow is our last opportunity this fall together to work through some of these. Looking forward to seeing our guys take advantage of it tomorrow in both areas.” In doubles, all three Tiger pairings defeated their opponents as Clemson continues to shine in doubles. The duo of Noa Vukadin and Max Smith defeated Florida’s Nate Bonetto and Tanapat Nirundorn, 6-3.

Tigers Earn Singles, Doubles Wins in Day One of Gator Fall Invite

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Clemson Tigers earned singles and doubles victories as they took on University of Central Florida on the first day of the Gator Fall Invite. Two pairings recorded wins in doubles while Matt Pitts and Trey Stitchcomb garnered victories in singles. “Today was a great experience for our guys but especially for our freshmen. They are getting a good taste against good competition of what dual matches will be like this upcoming spring. Nice to see overall that our doubles was strong today and continued from our last event. Our guys learned some more lessons in singles today and look to take advantage of some opportunities better tomorrow,” Head Coach Brandon Wagner said. In doubles, the successful duo of Marko Mesarovic and Pitts defeated UCF’s Paul Colin and Mehdi Benchakroun, 6-4. Clemson Tigers Wrap Up ITA Regionals

CARY, N.C. – The Clemson Tigers complete their run in the ITA Regionals after two hard-fought battles in the doubles quarterfinals. “Regionals was a positive experience for our team and we took good steps forward in many areas. We have a quick turn around for some strong competition against University of Florida, UCF, and Miami this upcoming weekend,” Head Coach Brandon Wagner. “Our guys are looking forward to taking the positives from this weekend and gearing up for the tests against these schools in a few days. Tigers Shine In Doubles, Wrap Up Day Two Of ITA Regionals

CARY, N.C. – In the second day of ITA Regionals, the Clemson Tigers impressed in their doubles performances as all three duos took down two rounds of opponents to advance them to the round of 16. “We were in position in our singles matches today to take them but didn’t come up quite good enough in some important moments, but we will learn from it,” Head Coach Brandon Wagner said. “6-0 today in doubles, so definitely a great step in the right direction for this group from the first tournament of the fall. The guys are competing well and looking forward to the challenge tomorrow against some stiffer competition.” The duo of Noa Vukadin and Maxwell Smith earned their first victory of the day against UNC Wilmington’s Gabriel Hurtado and Jordi Domeneche as they took down the pair 8-2. Aronson, Vukadin Impress In Day One Of ITA Regionals

CARY, N.C. – After garnering two wins, freshmen Stewart Aronson and Noa Vukadin are set to compete in the round of 32 as three other Tigers picked up singles wins after the first day of ITA Regionals.“Glad our guys had the opportunity to compete against some of our rivals today. Lots of good performances and a few others that came down to a point here or there that almost fell our way but didn’t. Our guys are eager to go back to work tomorrow and continue to build good habits,” Head Coach Brandon Wagner said. Newcomer’s Aronson and Vukadin impressed all on the court as they both defeated their opponents in the round of 128 and the round of 64 as they are set to compete in Saturday’s round of 32. Aronson earned his first singles win of the day against South Carolina’s Carter Morgan (6-3,6-4).
