Jailed since Tuesday on federal charges related to the attack on the US Capitol, a Malden man â the force behind a controversial group whose motto is âItâs great to be straightâ â will be freed but restricted from out-of-state travel and protests, a US magistrate judge ruled Thursday.

Members of Super Happy Fun America, the organiser of the Boston “Straight Pride” parade, have been arrested over rioting at the US Capitol.
In 2019, Super Happy Fun America, a group whose website claims that straight people are “America’s most brutally repressed identity”, organised a “Straight Pride” parade in Boston, Massachusetts, with former
Breitbart News editor Milo Yiannopoulos as grand marshal.
More recently, the anti-LGBT+ group also sponsored 11 buses to take Trump-supporters to Washington, DC, on 6 January, ahead of the violent riots at the Capitol during which five people died.

Two Massachusetts residents reportedly affiliated with a “straight pride” group were arrested in connection with the Capitol Building riot, numerous sources reported.
Suzanne Ianni, 59, and Mark Sahady, 46, were arrested Tuesday on charges of knowingly entering or remaining in a restricted building or grounds without lawful authority and disorderly conduct in connection with the Jan. 6 breach of the Capitol Building, according to the Justice Department. Both Ianni and Sahady are reportedly affiliated with a group called “Super Happy Fun America,” a group that advocates on behalf of straight people and is known for organizing the “Straight Pride Parade” in Boston in 2019, NBC 10 Boston reported.
