Shooting victims, wounded in the attack at the gilroy garlic festival are in the hospital this morning. The city of gilroy is focusing on healing now after a gunman shot and killed three people at that garlic festival. A vigil was held by hundreds of people in downtown gilroy remembering the victims and feeling the support of the community. The garlic festival is our annual showcase to the world and to ourselves about the best we can be. We are gilroy strong. There ages fall from 69 years old and their conditions are either the same as they were yesterday or they have improved point they know they are expected to recover from physical injuries but there is sadness and devastation to the other people who attended the festival and did not survive, including sixyearold Stephen Romero who is with his mother and grandmother at the festival. Mom and grandmother survived after being shot, the little boy did not. The sixyearold boys father spoke is disbelief when he got a call from the mother that their child had been shot.
