Erie County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz this week joined county leaders from across the country in El Paso County, Texas, to assess real-world impacts of federal immigration policy.
The Erie County Department of Environment and Planning has announced the return of the annual WNY Earth Day Challenge, created by the department and many community partners to encourage residents to celebrate Earth Day by learning about the environment and taking actions locally.
The Erie County Department of Public Works Highways Division is nearing completion of a new highway barn on Cemetery Road in Lancaster that will replace an obsolete barn in Clarence the DPW had been using for operations. The $9.2 million investment creates a far more efficient, effective, and better-located structure for departmental operations in the district.
“Erie County farmers and agribusinesses are facing unprecedented challenges today that they did not face 10 years ago," County Executive Mark Poloncarz said in announcing the sessions.
