Woman from Kalamazoo injured after crashing into farm vehicle near Centreville

Google Satellite View CENTREVILLE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) A woman was injured Monday evening after her vehicle rear-ended a farm implement that was being hauled by a tractor. St. Joseph County Sheriff Mark A. Lillywhite says Deputies responded to an area near the intersection of M-66 and Marvin Rd east of Centreville at around 6:30 p.m… A 53-year-old female from Kalamazoo had been driving northbound on M-66 when she came up behind the farm vehicle and struck it. She was transported to a Kalamazoo hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the tractor, a 26-year-old man from Centreville, was not injured.

JOSEPH COUNTY, MI A woman was arrested after crashing a vehicle before she escaped and stole the police vehicle she was in and crashed again, according to police. Deputies with the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched at 3:12 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 28, to Lutz Road near Hoshel Road. for a single vehicle accident. The driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, St. Joseph County Sheriff Mark A. Lillywhite said in a news release. While police were searching the vehicle, the driver slipped free from the handcuffs and crawled through the partition, stealing the patrol vehicle and driving away south on Lutz Road, police said.

Sturgis woman charged with stealing and crashing SCSD patrol unit

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – A 25-year-old Sturgis woman is facing numerous charges after she allegedly stole a St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office patrol car and led police on a chase early Monday morning. St. Joseph County Sheriff Mark A. Lillywhite say deputies were dispatched at 3:12 a.m. to Lutz Road near Hoshel Road for a single vehicle accident. The driver was later arrested for operating while intoxicated. While the vehicle was being searched, the woman was able to slip free from her handcuffs and crawl through the petition and steal the patrol vehicle. She then headed south on Lutz Road but when she reached the intersection of U.S. 12, the driver went off the road and struck a utility pole and several trees.
