Nye County is about halfway between Las Vegas and Reno and has scheduled its hand count to begin Wednesday. It got clearance from the state supreme court last week, but the approval came with conditions that it had to take numerous steps to prevent early vote tallies in any race from being reported publicly. The secretary of state’s office is reviewing Nye County’s written proposal, which includes scrapping plans to livestream the hand count.
