West Michigan Vaccine Clinic to administer 231,000 doses before closing

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. â The West Michigan Vaccine Clinic only has one final day of administering COVID-19 vaccines before it closes for good. The DeVos Place clinic will be open on Friday but will operate with reduced hours from 2 to 6 p.m. by appointment only.
The clinic has been in the process of winding down and remained closed on Wednesday and will be closed again on Thursday. The county is now in the process of transitioning vaccines to other sites.

In a complaint originally filed in Virginia’s state courts, chemical researcher Dr. Mark Van Dyke alleged that Wake Forest University, along with the company Van Dyke co-founded and several employees of that company, engaged in a conspiracy to take advantage of Dr. Van Dyke’s pioneering research in keratin, “the proteins that make up wool, hair, and fingernails.” The case was removed to federal court Wednesday.
The complaint detailed a purported business conspiracy by KeraNetics, a company founded by Dr. Van Dyke, Wake Forest, and several KeraNetics employees to take advantage of Dr. Van Dyke’s intellectual property. The complaint enumerated a body of patents assigned to Wake Forest, at that time Dr. Van Dyke’s employer, as a condition of employment. However, the plaintiff also explained the existence of the Keratin Know-How and Keratin Library, compilations of research materials, papers, patents, and general knowledge that Dr. Van Dy

WEST POINT, OHIO Windy Renee Van Dyke, of West Point, passed away from a longtime heart condition Monday, January 25, 2021. She was 32.
Born in East Liverpool, July 31, 1988, she was a daughter of Linda Kidder Van Dyke of West Point and the late Carter Lee Van Dyke, Sr. A resident of this area all her life, she was a member of the Beaver Local High School Class of 2006. She was Christian by faith.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by a daughter, Brooklynn Marie Sullivan and a son, Warrick Eugene Lee Tanner, both at home. She is also survived by her maternal grandmother, Connie Kidder of West Point, a sister, Lindsey Van Dyke and her fiance Bobby Shaffer, a brother, Carter Van Dyke, Jr. and his wife Brittany, a special niece, Maddalynn Shaffer, four aunts, Susan Ring and her husband Mark, Cheryl Morris and her husband Joe, Lora Eiler and Diane Decker, and three uncles, William Van Dyke II, Mark Van Dyke and his wife Holly, and Bill Snyder.
