TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) United Campus Ministries will host its annual Chili Fest on Sunday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at St. Mark s United Church of Christ, 475 S. Fruitridge Ave. It s also hosting an online silent auction, which began Monday and will continue through March 15.
The COVID-19 pandemic prevented the ministry from having its annual fall barbecue, so it s really looking forward to this event. It s caused a lot of struggle, not having that fall fundraiser, so to find a way to manage and make it happen for this spring fundraiser, I m very excited, said campus minister Dawn Black. The ministry is run entirely on donations.
