Gold Nugget Days returning to Paradise in April
The Ridge will once again welcome the community event Gold Nugget Days after canceling the event last year due to the pandemic.

PARADISE, Calif. – The Gold Nugget Days is coming back to Paradise this spring.
After all the calamity of 2018 and a lot of Paradise’s resources being diminished, the Gold Nugget Days are going to feature even more organization collaborations this year.
The Gold Nugget Days will be returning to Paradise but will follow the state s purple tier guidelines and operate at 25% capacity.

power, ahead of schedule. those critical patients being housed outside in a temporary ward are now being moved back inside. a hospital official tells us there haven t been any storm related deaths. mark thorp is the commander of a federal disaster relief team assisting the hospital. when we have these in the continental united states, we can get help there quicker. the challenge here is getting everything here. thorp knows there are rumors about a lack of urgency in the relief efforts and it has taken a toll on him. when the hurricane came over, we were here. reporter: i know it is hard. across the street from the hospital, there is a different problem, another long line. this time at a local bank. just before we got here, we re told the bank system collapsed and now those who have been staying in line, there is no guarantee that they ll get any money. this woman drove 30 minutes from a neighboring town to stand in line five hours. he says he has no other choice.
