The Roebuck Inn, Stockbridge Road, with the residents car park on the right which is often blocked by delivery vehicles A WINCHESTER pub wanted to build an outdoor bar and alter its conditions for deliveries. The bar proposal at the Roebuck Inn in Fulflood was not controversial but the times of deliveries sparked strong objections from neighbours. They say the deliveries block access to their homes and create traffic hazard, after the pub replaced its car park with outdoor seating. The condition had stated that deliveries should be between 7am-9am, but the pub wanted 7am-4pm each day. Winchester City Council’s licensing sub-committee approved the plan but urged the pub, owned by Greene King, to talk to local residents to sort out the delivery issue.
