Wilson decided to buy her lucky ticket after hearing an ad on a radio station from Regina. She said she was treating it as a donation, as she never usually wins anything. “I thought that s a very nice thing. The SJHL (Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League) are at a standstill right now. I thought, well, maybe that s what I ll do.” She wrote the number down and called the Broncos office to buy a ticket – and the rest was history. After the win, the Broncos invited Wilson to the Elgar Petersen Arena. She said she’s been there before to watch curling in the past, but this time, she got to meet the coach and assistant coach, as well as look at some of the donated items connected to the Broncos bus collision.
