June 12 (Reuters) - The first trial in several U.S.
climate change cases brought by youths kicked off on Monday in
Montana, where sixteen young people are seeking to hold the
state accountable for fossil fuel-friendly policie.
A federal judge ruled that parts of a plan to manage 2.4-million acres of Flathead National Forest in Montana violated the law because it would imperil grizzly bears, but said he would not throw out the plan.
