Mark Singel and Charlie Gerow offer unity and inclusion in politics | PennLive letters Updated Dec 20, 2020; By John Currie Amazingly, I almost always agree with the letters/opinions of both Mark Singel and Charlie Gerow, even though they represent liberal/progressive vs conservative labels. However they somehow mix the need for balanced long-term solutions to long-term problems. Nation over politics. There is a need for climate protection, a strong economy, following the constitution without over-political emphasis, a strong foreign affairs approach with America continuing to play a world leadership role without getting stuck in foreign, unsolvable issues, a balanced government budget with proper degree of entitlement, strengthening infra-structure, balanced immigration, etc.
