Pressure goes on New Zealand SailGP backup crew in England

Swiss star Arnaud Psarofaghis stays on the helm while Australian James Wierzbowski takes over from Maloney as flight controller and America’s Cup winner Marcus Hansen steps up to replace Junior. “It will be a big change for us again, but those guys have got experience and will be able to slot into it,” Saunders told Stuff from Portsmouth. He felt the team had coped well in Italy and was confident a solid block of training in the foiling 50-foot catamaran this week would get them prepared for more progress. “We were really happy, we far exceeded our expectations in Taranto. Going into it, I was thinking there’s going to be a lot going on, it’s such a crazy boat. But at the end of the day it is still a sailing boat,” Saunders said.
