POWELL  When it officially opened in November 2016, the Sawmill Parkway extension was hailed as a major win for developers looking to churn out new homes and officials seeking new business growth to help pay for roads and schools without raising taxes. Landowners also hoped to cash in after years of farming, seeking a premium windfall for their property in high-growth southern Delaware County. Not far from the parkway s northern terminus in Delaware, corn and soybean fields would be replaced by new industry, noted Tom Homan, Delaware’s city manager, excited at the prospect of new curb cuts for Delaware s portion of future access to a variety of industrial and commercial operations for which it paid about $9 million.

Gnagy brings 20 years of experience in education to the role and currently is the assistant principal at Olentangy Orange Middle School. She joined the district in 2003 as a teacher and was named the 2007-08 Teacher of the Year in the district as a physical education teacher at Indian Springs Elementary School. She has been a teacher, coach, mentor and assistaprincipal in the district. “I am beyond excited for this amazing opportunity. We are going to build a culture embedded with optimism, pride and a sense of belonging for these students,” Gnagy said in a Dec. 8 news release from the district.
