East Anglia could see the top temperatures in the afternoon, with highs of up to 27C (81F) - beating the highest recorded so far this year as 23.6C (74.5F) in Faversham, Kent, on May 6.
ESA s Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service predicts the plume will hit the Iberian Peninsula and western Europe this week, with some reaching the South East of UK on 20 May.
