Richfield s Driverge takes its business west with acquisition

Driverge Vehicle Innovations, a Richfield company that builds wheelchair-accessible vehicles, has picked up California s NorCal Van Conversions.
Driverge, which before changing its name last year was known as TransitWorks, announced on Monday, Jan. 18, that it has acquired NorCal. It did not disclose terms of the transaction.
The addition of NorCal gives Driverge, which already had manufacturing facilities in Akron, Kansas and South Carolina, an expanded reach with manufacturing, distribution and support in the western United States, the company said.
