Search for a new director underway
The city has begun its search for a new director. The position was first posted on the city’s website on May 21. Some essential functions of the position include meeting with veterans to determine their eligibility for financial, medical, administrative and emergency assistance; monitoring client’s needs; assisting veterans in need of medical attention; preparing and verifying monthly benefits; helping veterans find housing, transportation and employment; and acting as a crisis intervention specialist, according to the job posting.
The job pays between $65,537 and $68,185, according to the job posting.
