Of the drought. Reporter the drought has dis dried out grass and brush. They have never seen this in three decades of factfinding. The first time we have had red flag warning in january. Reporter fire season runs from june to november but this year its still going strong in january. Firefighters think it could overlap into next june. I have never seen it before but this may be one of those times where it occurs. Different nozzle for different size hose. Reporter the situation is so critical that fire crews are still carrying this around, the lightweight gear and protective clothing they use during wildfire season which in a normal year would be packed away by now in storage and they are keeping their heavy wildland equipment handy, too in case their worst fears come true.
