A mother and daughter told newscenter 5 theyre thanking god to be alive tonight. But theyre also heartbroken to be dealing with this just a day after christmas. 16 people are homeless tonight. After a fire tore through their dorchester home. Firefighters were called to 29 alpha road just about 5 45 this evening. The fouralarm fire was under control in less than an hour. But not before destroying three families homes just a day after christmas. The second floor family had been preparing to host a holiday dinner. After my mom got done cooking she ran fire, fire and everybody ran out. So when we got outside you can see the fire at the first floor window. And it was just crazy.
