Denise Flores thought she had reached the end of her housing crisis. But a close call with a lease showed just how quickly she could be back on the street.
The funding will support the converted Anderson Hotel in downtown San Luis Obispo and the Palm Street Studios project. Both are designed to house low-income adults who are at high-risk of experiencing homelessness.
The group will be discussing homeless vets, youth (including foster youth who “age out” of that system), individuals with mental health issues, and seniors, who comprise a significant portion of the homeless.
–On Monday, Jan. 11 from 12-1 p.m., the League of Women Voters will discuss homelessness at their lunchtime webinar.
The theme is “Who are the Homeless?” They will be discussing homeless vets, youth (including foster youth who “age out” of that system), individuals with mental health issues, and seniors, who comprise a significant portion of the homeless.
