Mark Kiang, 40, of Hoboken, was charged with DWI, refusal to submit to chemical testing, reckless driving, and operating an unregistered vehicle, according to Police Det. Lt. Danilo Cabrera.
On Friday at about approximately 12:41 a.m., Police Officers Daniel Grossi and Geovanni Cruzado were on patrol when they came across a parked vehicle with the driver’s side door open in the area of 2nd and Jackson Street.
Upon further inspection, the officers found the vehicle running and observed a male sleeping in the driver’s seat.
Grossi was able to wake the man up and he was identified as Kiang. Based on Grossi’s interaction with the driver, he believed that Kiang had been driving under the influence of an intoxicant.
